Very nice 1959, first year slab board and first year of the tortoise guard original Fender Jazzmaster at a nice price and with it's original sale receipt!
It has a good original brown case, original sales receipt from Rhonow's Music store in WI and the original booklet included. There is some other guff in there too as you can see in the pics.
All original except the bridge cover and trem arm which are nice, aged re-issues courtesy of Jagged Offset Electric.
As you can see in the pics, the front looks nice and reasonably clean. There is wear on the back caused by a big buckle and some play wear on the back of the neck. Some of the logo has rubbed off which may be the result of a clip on tuner or such.. Also, one of the switch holes in the pickguard has been slightly enlarged so the switch actually operates. This is not uncommon as the celluloid guards shrink with time and can cause the slide switches to stick in place.
Aside from that, it is a nice player, great sound from both pickups and well set up.
Body date of 8/59, no neck date as is common in 1959 and pots date to 22nd week of 1959. Serial number is 40403.
Early Jazzmasters have seen good growth in recent times. and this particular one is from the golden era of JM's with a great vibe for the collector or player.
