Lovely, all correct 1960 slab board pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster with a superb, chunky neck and in very nice condition indeed. Complete with original brown case which is also in excellent condition. A very nice package.

Classic twang descends in abundance as soon as you plug this surf monster in to a (preferably old Fender) amp and chime away on it.. It has all the most desirable Jazzmaster attributes you could wish for including the classic pre-CBS black bottom, formvar wound, original pickups. A beautiful slab rosewood fingerboard neck which is surprisingly chunky for a 1960 - they are not all like this. And to top it all, it is in remarkably nice overall condition and all correct for 1960.

I can not see a single solder joint that has been disturbed and internal pics are available, as always, for anyone seriously interested. The only thing I spotted is the original foam under the pickups has sunk over time so someone has bolstered it up a bit with a couple of pieces of new foam, not stuck down, just placed on top of the original foam.

Original frets are in lovely condition and as you can see by the photographs it looks like it has never been played in anger with just a few small dings here and there plus a small amount of buckle rash on the rear.

Correct brown tolex case is also in excellent condition with all latches working and handle in good condition. Being a 1960, it is one of two years (1959 and 1960) where you see this particularly pleasant shade of sunburst that almost looks two tone due to the quick fade of the red used during that period.
