We have a very special guitar with us, and a VERY rare one indeed. It is a 2001 '54 Relic Strat in Surf Green. '54 Strats are rare birds in the Custom Shop catalogue (they usually build '56's instead), but in Surf Green, now THAT's weird... A confirmed one-off by Fender!
Light ash body (7lb 11oz), very resonant, and full classic Fender tone with that "bell-like" sound. Light relic aging, but all body finish has nice checking for that vintage look and feel.
The surf green color is one of the hardest to picture in photography. The original surf green comes from Chevrolet's color palette from the 50's!
In exceptional condition, OHSC and COA, case candy. 100% original. Frets show some wear (still at 85%) after it's 13 years of life.
