Here’s a very cool & extremely rare 1st issue late ’57 Precision Bass w/some unusual early features in great shape, its has been refinished in its original 2-Tone Sunburst beautifully saving its pencil dated 9/57 in its pickup cavity, its ultra rare “V” shaped Maple Neck has original finish & is also dated 9/57 which is as early as these came out, its wearing a newer repro Gold’gard that pulls this all together, its original 1st issue split “Raised A Pole” pickup is nice w/that quintessential Funk tone !, its pots are dated to the 32nd week of 1957, its original from its 20XXX #’d back plate to its fine threaded saddle bridge to its vol. & tone knobs to its tuners, it plays & feels excellent, very lightweight, she’s excellent overall having nice tone qualities & comes w/a nice hard case.
