This is the ultimate year Pre-CBS Precision Bass w/a “Slab” Rosewood neck w/all early ’59 features in great condition, it has its original 3-Tone Brown’burst finish over a very lightweight Alder body dated 10/59, its “Unbound” Rosewood Clay Dot neck is dated 7/59, it’s sporting a very low serial # (30XXX) stamped on its 4-bolt neck plate, its sporting a nice & quite realistic looking repro Gold anodized pickgard that pulls this all together, its split Pickup has raised “A” poles from late 1958 & is super smooth w/that quintessential “Jamerson” funk tone !, its pot date codes are impossible to read, its so cool from its nickel tuners to its fine threaded saddle bridge, she has a gorgeous patina for a 62 year old, it plays & feels incredible, she’s excellent overall, priced quite affordably & comes in a nice generic case.
