This is the ultimate year Pre-CBS Precision Bass w/a “Slab” Rosewood neck w/all early features in great condition, it has its original 3-Tone Brown’burst finish over a very lightweight Alder body, its “Unbound” Rosewood Clay Dot neck is pencil dated 2/61, it’s sporting a very low serial # (55XXX) stamped on its 4-bolt neck plate, its sporting a nice Tortoise-shell pickgard that pulls this all together, its split Pickup is super smooth w/that quintessential “Jamerson” funk tone !, its pot date codes are dated to the 36th & 47th weeks of 1960, its so cool from its nickel tuners to its threaded saddle bridge, she has a gorgeous patina for a 61 year old, it plays & feels incredible, she’s exceptionally clean overall & comes in its nice original Brown Tolex hard case.
