Fender / Precision Bass / 1978 / Olympic White / Bass
From a large collection out of Chicago, we are pleased to offer this 1978 Fender Precision Bass, serial# S871519, in Olympic White, one owner. As the first production model bass guitar, the Fender Precision bass was an absolutely revolutionary instrument upon its introduction in 1951. The Precision or P Bass evolved throughout the ‘50s with changing electronics, body shape, and cosmetic details. The body is solid contoured Ash with 1-piece Maple neck with a 20 fret Maple fretboard. Single Fender Precision Split pickup, independent Volume & Tone controls. The nut measures 1 5/8". The condition of this bass is good for its age. There are superficial scratches here and there, but this thing has the PERFECT amount of "mojo". You couldn't relic the real wear on this thing if you tried! The bass weighs 10lbs, and comes with its original Fender hardshell case.
