Now available on consignment, a great playing and feeling 1978 Fender Precision Bass in its original 3-tone sunburst finish with black pickguard.
Work to the guitar includes:
- At one point another pickguard was installed evidenced by the extra screw holes underneath the original serial numbered pickguard. Thumb rest is missing.
- The bass side of the split coil pickup appears to be from another same era ('79-80) P-Bass, it matches well and sounds great!
- Later japanese bridge and saddles, replaced volume pot (original in case) and some wiring.
Otherwise this particular bass retains all of it's original finish, and remains in great playing condition including the original frets.
Its recently been professionally setup by Piers Crocker and is ready to play!
Weighs just over 4.9kg.
Includes a correct black Fender case with orange interior.
