Fender / Princeton Reverb / 1966 / Black / Amp
One of our all time favourite amps here at Toyshop Towers. A very nice, some would say near mint, classic Fender blackface Princeton Reverb from 1966.
It appears all original apart from the tubes (valves). Speaker is the original Jensen C10-R dates 40th week of 1965 and transformers plus chokes are all dated late '65 or early '66. Tube chart date code is March 1966.
The only thing I can see that has been changed is the power cord which is now a safety conscious, 3 pin grounded AC cord however the original 2 prong one is included should you be daft enough to want to re-install it.
There is also a foot switch which is very bright and shiny so I suspect it is a re-issue. In fact just as a point of interest, I do not ever recall having an original Princeton Reverb with an original foot switch.
It works beautifully and is like a good sports car with predicable handling or breakup and when you play through one, you soon realise why it has become one of the classic. great amps of all time.
Original examples in fine condition like this are rare to find, most have been modded in some way and not for the better either. This is a real beaut and will not disappoint.
