Fender / STRATOCASTER American Std.“Aluminum” Limited Run / 1994 / Blue Marble / Guitar

In 1994-1995 the Fender facility in Arizona produced around 400 all total Aluminum Bodied Stratocasters before their supplier of the bodies discontinued production. Of these 400 some were Custom Shop and some were American Standard Stratocasters. This American Standard Aluminum Body Strat has a Blue Marble finish & is hollow therefore making it a very lightweight guitar. The "Aluminum Am. Std." was available in three colors: Purple Marble, Blue Marble and Red, Silver & Blue Flag. Some admirers say these sound as any other Strat from the period when plugged in, others feel they have a more resonator, hollow body tone, all agree it is more acoustic sounding unplugged. Other than 1 tiny little bubble in the finish on its side, this cool axe is near mint overall. She comes with its original molded hard case.
