Fender / Stratocaster / 1957 / Sunburst / Guitar For Sale
If you are looking for the finest example of what many to consider to be the finest Strat year available for sale right now then you have probably just found it...
Solid investment grade, 1957 Fender Stratocaster. The cleanest we have ever seen and probably the cleanest around right now on the planet. Period.
Sixty seven years old yet you would never think it was more than a few years old… It almost defies belief and is a true under the bed find that has been languishing in climate controlled storage as part of a UK collection for some time.
Not a thing out of place on this breathtaking guitar - look at the hardware, the still bright tuners and the original plastics. The neck is unfaded as is the finish on the body.
So far as we can see, there is some light checking on it and a few small dings, a tiny bit of wear in small places on the pristine, totally unfaded, maple fingerboard and some light, buckle rash on the back, this is being quite picky, most people and I am sure most dealers would describe this beautiful guitar as a mint as can be example.
Probably one of the last ash bodies before they changed to alder later in ‘57. Neck date is 9/57, body date is 9/57 and all pots date to 23rd week of 1957. Serial number dates to around mid late 1957. Neck profile is the classic 'soft V' which is the main reason these 1957 Strats are so sought after.
Frets are virtually immaculate, guitar plays brilliantly and all three pickups sound mind blowing! As you would expect from a guitar of this class, everything is totally original under the hood with all virgin solder joints, electrics and pickup windings. It is faultless.
Included is the original trem arm, ashtray cover and a tweed original case. Weight is a lovely, lightweight 3.35Kg.
If you are looking for an investment grade piece, it is the guitars lie this that have consistently shown the strongest gains in the market place and we think you will really struggle to find a better example out there than this incredible and sought after piece…
