Fender / Stratocaster / 1962 / Sunburst / Guitar For Sale
How about a super vibey, 1962 Fender Strat? A no-brainer…
This guitar oozes style and just looks soooo good. The three tone sunburst looks great with just the right amount of wear. All the hall-marks of a well used and well loved guitar are here.
The neck (Oct 62) has been lightly over-sprayed in clear nitro lacquer and the decal has been replaced. The frets have plenty of life left in them and the fretboard is in good shape, showing some signs of wear.
The nitrate pickguard is in good condition with the obligatory crack near the neck pickup.. The other plastic parts are in good shape. The hardware is in good condition with some corrosion which does not affect performance but simply adds to the vibe.
Electronically, everything is as expected. The pots are dated week 32 of 1962 and the solder looks undisturbed. Guitar comes with a Selmer case which was the correct type that these guitars were sold in the UK with.
Sonically, this guitar delivers those wonderful 60’s black bottom Strat tones built on the bedrock of a spry acoustic sound. The neck profile is a nice medium one and it is a nice light weight of 3.29Kg
This is a stunning instrument with a cool vibe that just sounds sensational. Arguably the perfect Stratocaster...
