Fender Stratocaster Sunburst (1963) Pre-CBS, Case, EC
This a rarely seen 1963 Fender Stratocaster with still beautiful red in the original finish, and the guitar is untouched, meaning everything is original with very little wear, untouched solder joints, original 3 tone sunburst finish, 3 very good sounding original black bottom pickups, good low weight of only 3.35kg, the only thing we know is changed is the Greenish but genuine Celluloid pickguard*. All other parts are original, including the plastics, very nice medium size C shape neck, original thickness rosewood fingerboard with newer frets, neck reading 1963, body reading 1963, pots reading 1963, a very fine example of a well preserved all original 1963 Stratocaster in original sunburst. The three pickups that have excellent output. This is definitely one of the best we seen over the last few years and if you are looking for something really special worth investing in, this might be it.
*FYI: The Original pickguard on Fender Stratocaster guitars tend to shrink, often resulting in several breaks, tips breaking of, to a point were the pickups cannot be adjusted anymore. The original Pickguard being a victim of this ageing/shrinking process. The previous owner opted for this quality and probably the best solution, a 300 Euro newer Celluloid pickguard, but we are willing to find you the original at cost.
