This is REALLY quite something and I think you would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful, 100% original custom colour Strat… This is a STUNNING 100% original 1963 spec 1964 Custom Colour Olympic White Fender Stratocaster with factory GOLD hardware + OHSC and tags It is an all original custom colour finish in near MINT condition and I reckon must be one of THE finest vintage Strats for sale right now. Let me know if you find a better 60’s example…
A largely uncirculated guitar which has been stored in it’s case, in lead free tissue paper to avoid any case burn (which it is free of - rare for Olympic White), owned by a respected UK collector for the last 10 years, before that by another private UK collector for many many years, we are privileged to be able to now offer it for sale here to the public for the first time in a very long while..
Guitar has been checked and black lighted, all finish is totally original and there is no evidence of overspray or repairs. It is near MINT condition and without any doubt at all, I can say it is 100& original with the exception of one screw on the back plate!
All the pots are dated 44th week of 1963, serial number is 1963, neck date is JAN 1964 and all pickups are dated March 1964. Every single solder joint is intact and un-disturbed (including the jack socket), all hardware matches and to be honest, this is one of the finest guitars we have ever had here!
This is a ZERO issues, investment grade guitar which has a near MINT green guard, even the case is near mint. Included is original gold plated term arm, ashtray cover plus manual, strap and some use candy. WOW oh WOW… where do we go from here.
Frets are in just about as new condition with hardly any wear and guitar is a real joy to play with a fast neck that has nice C shape medium round profile Weight is a pleasant 3.6Kg
VERY RARE to see a custom colour Olympic White Strat in this amazing condition WITH GOLD HARDWARE It just doesn’t happen! We are constantly pinching ourselves over here - just have a look at the photos, if ever a guitar can be described as sexy, this must surely be it.
