Fender / Stratocaster / 1965 / Lake Placid Blue / Guitar

GOSH! 100% original 1965 transitional Fender Stratocaster with small headstock in custom colour Lake Placid Blue, hardly any colour fade, original tags (with serial number), bridge cover, trem arm, strings, 1965 price list and of course original case all of which are in near MINT condition.

Yes... thats quite a find I think you will agree. This guitar has been in the personal vault of a dealer friend of mine for the past 8 years, he in turn bought it from the original owner, a South African gentleman named Greg Sorrentino.

It is in exceptional condition, it is not mint but I am describing it as near mint. There are a couple of dings, mainly on the sides and a patch of wear on the back but that is it. Everything else looks like it is just a few months old and check out the under guard pictures - you RARELY see such a lack of fade on lake placid blue which is one of those colours that start to green as soon as you look at it.

Included is the original hang tag / booklet with this guitars serial number inked on it, an original 1965 price list and all the other case candy you see pictured. Even the original, no logo case is near mint.

Look at that ultra clean headstock and transisional logo - I do not think I have ever seen better.

Needless to say, extra virgin, untouched solder joints abound and not a thing has ever been changed on this amazing guitar. Weight is a lovely 3.4Kg, all 3 pickups are strong, chimey and wonderful sounding and it also plays with one of the lowest actions on a Strat I have ever had.

Time for your very own Xmas pressie....?

Wife, or even husband friendly receipts can be provided upon request ;-)
