Fender stratocaster sunburst 1965 Serial number no.L84619 putting it in mid 1965, consistent with the other dates found in this guitar. Still with the small headstock and originally a sunburst stratocaster, like many - refinished to Fiesta Red. This is a second owner stratocaster mostly been owned by the last owner who now retires from music. With the grey bottom pickups, 1965 june dated, pots date 1965 16th week, 1965 plastic parts except the knobs are reissue knobs. The original pickguard is with the guitar, and so are the original covers, the pickguard is still greenish/tip missing, the steel underplate is also orignal to the guitar, so is the hardware - Steel block, bridge plate and saddles. The refin is older and there is already some shading under the pickguard, the amazingly flamed neck has also seen a refinished and refretted, also the tuners are changed for shaller, common back in the 'modern' 70s. 5 out of 6 original tuners are with the guitar. This is a tremendous good sounding Stratocaster, with excellent set-up and great pickup balance and output. A strat with that typical intense old wood tone, that round and fat tone, that can really yell out but be very matured and rounded without hurting your ears, impressively rich with a strong sustain. The Switch has been changed to 5 way switch. Neck date of 2 March 65B, Normal C neck shape, 650mm scale length, 42.5mm neck width, with rosewood laminate board and pearl dots and original logo. A superb sounding stratocaster with great tone, vibe and sustain the pre-cbs strats are famed for. Selling on behalf of the owner at an attractive players price, with non original case.

The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood.
