This is a STUNNING original 1965 original Olympic White Fender Stratocaster + OHSC that is a bargain price because two of the pots have been replaced and the original pickups have been out then back in. That is basically it! It is all original finish Olympic White with no routes or repairs etc and includes the original, no logo hard case that has a handle missing.

Guitar oozes character, vibe and nojo. It has been a player all its life and as you can see the clearcoat of the Olympic White finish has nicely mellowed to a yellow hue. It does have a few dings here and there plus checking as you can clearly see in the photos but this only goes to add to the amazing vibe this guitar has...

It is an early 1965 with clay dots, small headstock, transitional logo (the ‘Stratocaster' part has worn off). The neck date is January 1965, the one original pot has a date code of the 16th week of 1965 and all 3 grey bottom pickups are dated early 65. Serial number is L62983 and weight is a lovely 3.3Kg, neck profile is a classic rounded early/mid 60’s C shape. There is no back plate and no trem arm.

Knobs look old but I am not 100% certain they are original to this guitar, rest of the plastic and hardware looks right including the early parchment white guard. Looks as if it also has the original frets that are still in good shape but it does have anew nut, if they are not the original frets it is the most perfect refret job I have ever seen. There are no extra routes or repairs anywhere and at this price it is a bit of a bargain, in fact had the pickups not been out then in again and the two pots replaced you could well be looking at least an extra £6k.. Remember, this is a custom colour ’65 Strat in everyones favourite 60’s custom colour - Olympic White.

Yes, this does have it’s issues but VERY RARE to see a classic, 65 original custom colour Strat for this amazing price It plays well and sounds brilliant and I am sure the new owner will not be disappointed.
