Fender Stratocaster 1966 3-Tone Sunburst
Year: 1966
Weight: 3504 grams
Condition: 6.5/10
Very cool guitar with normal wear, buckle rash on the back of the body and wear on the back of the neck, the gray bottom pickups are marked with pencil 12-21-66 and 12-22-660 (so definitely a late 1966), the neck stamped 13OKT66B, transitional logo on a large headstock which is typical for 1966 as Fender started using the large black CBS logo in 1967.
The guitar has been used by a touring band (Mats Erix Orkester from Västerås) and the pickguard has been signed by the Swedish guitar legend Bosse Winberg from The Spotnicks (See image 7), a couple of removed stickers that have caused fading in color in some areas.
"Dansband switch" mounted on the pickguard. The guitar has been nicely refretted and the nut has been replaced, original parts are included in the case (See image 6).
All 3 potentiometers are from early 1966, including a 1970s square hard case from Hagström (the importer of Fender) with all tolex removed.
