Monster tone alert! This super clean 1966 Stratocaster will put its huge headstock into play and give you the most sustained and sweet Strat tones you’ve probably heard in a while. Incredibly clean, insane colors, insane sound, it’s got it all.
Look at the beauty of the sunburst finish! Super dark rosewood board, with very light divoting in first frets.
The guitar is 100% original except for a probable pro refret, but they could be original as well. All pickups hand-dated 1966, neck stamp AUG 66. All pots 1966 as well, date matched. Very comfortable C neck, huge resonance and very sweet bell tones from all 3 pickups. Weights 3590gr. Fender OHSC included. It has some marker pen touchup in the bass edge corner, and it will come off when polished, but I decided to let it be because it is actually quite skillfully done (we can polish it off for you if you prefer). The pickguard is original, and has suffered some shrinking, but still matches the original drill holes.
Apart from that, it must have belonged to the same guy for a very long time, since the only noticeable wear is some consistent buckle rash on a very specific area of the back. Overall the guitar is incredibly clean. Do not let this one go, folks!
