Fender / Stratocaster / 1969 / Sunburst / Guitar
This is practically a one-owner, 100% original Hendrix-era 1969 Fender Stratocaster. It even includes the original export case and bill of sale.
We say “practically” a one owner, beause his dad bought it for him second-hand back in 1972, when the guitar was only 3 years old. Included is the bill of sale from the store in Barcelona, quite a document of provenance! After that, it hasn’t been played much for the last 47 years, so whoever had it for that short period of time sure rocked the heck out of it.
Lovely sunburst finish with little fading, has aged beautifully.
It has a gorgeous patina, to die for, and a very honest wear. Sounds HUGE, and is 100% original. It did have a 5-way switch at some point (3-way is back on), and mid and bridge pickup had cold solder on terminals, but they resurrected after heating. So this guitar is bone stock, and even includes the original tremolo arm.
Neck stamp is 22JUL69B, all 3 pots dated 6618. The case is also original. In Europe, Fender cases are very rare because they used to cost almost what the guitar did, so 3-party versions were out there. Some were actually very cool, like this one is.

Guitar Giraffe, Spain
In the last few years, online sale for musical instruments has experienced an amazing growth, but has passed right through the pre-owned market (that is, in Spain), limiting it to specialised forums and private owners. This is why Guitar Giraffe was born, the first physical and online second hand guitar and amp store (we like to call it "pre-owned", since we see a big difference between both terms), with a clear commitment of giving new options to guitarists locally and worldwide. Pre-owned guitar stores, so common in UK and USA, were practically nonexistent in Spain. We’ve wanted to fill that empty space by becoming the first physical and online store in our country focused on pre-owned guitars and amps.
