Fender / Stratocaster / 1972 / Sunburst / Guitar
Very lovely early 3 bolt maple neck Fender Stratocaster from 1972. 100% original in every way and near MINT too..!
This early 3 bolt version version still retains the single string tree and was only made for a short time before another string tree was added, then later on other, not so welcome changes happened and the rest is somewhat sad, CBS Fender history..
This example is in superb condition, very little play wear and has just been set up so it is a great performer.
100% original in every way - neck date of May 1972, all pots date to 10th week of 1972 and all pickups date to April 1972. Serial number is also mid '72 and not a thing is out of place on this lovely, unmolested example.
There are hardly any marks on it at all, just a few minor dings here and there, some clearcoat worming and a bit of wear on the edge of the fingerboard but nothing serious.
Plays beautifully and all 3 pickups sound bliss. Included is a non original hard case.
As always, many internal pics are available for serious enquiries.
Rare to see these in this stunning condition and unmodified. This is a really good example of the 3 bolt Strat and has a perfect neck fit which is not something you can say for all of them, especially the later ones but these early 3 bolts are just as good as any 4 bolt out there.
