Fender / Stratocaster / 1986 / Olympic White / Guitar
This beauty is a Made in Japan 1986 Fender Contemporary Stratocaster, serial # E643737, in Olympic White with Fender Schaller System I Tremolo system and the original hardshell case. This model is known as 27-4302: 3 single coil pickups, 5 position selector switch, 1 volume, 2 tones, System I tremolo, Alder body, Maple fingerboard, 8.1lbs, 9.25" radius, 25.5" scale length & top mounted output jack. The pickups in our Strat have since been switched out with two DiMarzio Virtual Vintage (think 50's/60's Strat) in the bridge and neck, while a Seymour Duncan Hot Stack STK-52 sits in the middle. The Fender Stratocaster is arguably the most popular electric guitar ever designed. In the '80s, Fender produced a set of guitars with more modern appointments in attempt to keep up with popular guitars from companies like Kramer and Jackson. The Fender Contemporary models were manufactured from 1984 to 1987 by FujiGen Gakki and these Stratocasters were designed to be Superstrats (Super Strat) with humbucking pickups and Floyd Rose like tremolos made by Schaller and Kahler. The Contemporary Stratocaster was originally built in Japan with one of several pickup configurations (single humbucker, HH, HSS, SSS) and a locking Floyd Rose-esque tremolo bridge. There are some minor scratches and a few dings in this one, but this one owner pony is still in very good condition and is structurally and tonally ace!
