1993 Fender Custom Shop Blonde '54 Stratocaster with Original Hardshell Case, Case Candy and Certificate of Authenticity. This piece is a another from the large private collection acquired of which the instruments are in stunning condition and extremely rare. This guitar is the embodiment of Fender's name and just so happens to capable of competing with some of the finest vintage guitars it's been made to replicate. Right down to single-ply pickguard, this thing is spot on. A couple modern touches were implemented with the addition of a Trem system and 5-way switching for a wider range of versatility. Tonally rich with chime-like clean tones and savage growl played through the right amp.
Coming from the John Page Custom Shop era, he's spared no sweat, blood or tears when it came to this build. All original, hardware, pickups, case w/keys, case candy (ash tray bridge cover, Fender "Bobby Lee" style strap, gray instrument cable, polish cloth) and COA. It's all here. Nut measures 1.680". Neck width at the 1st fret is .915" with a C shape. Weighs an untaxing 7 Lbs 15 oz. Stunningly beautiful grain on the 1 piece Maple Neck and the Transparent Blonde finish is even more impressive when viewed by the naked eye. The guitar is virtually a NOS, and doesn't seem to show the slightest sign that anyone ever played it more than once. A true closet classic CS.
