Fender Stratocaster (1979) blackie, U2-the Edge Style, OHC, Case, EC
Vintage Fender Stratocaster, a 1979 model, with a rosewood board and hardtail bridge. The guitar is completely original, including electronics, pots and pickups, all original finish, very similar to the Edge it's late 70s Blackie. The serial number says 1979, but we all know the serial numbers for 1979 run from 1979 to 1982, this one is to date mid 1980, (29th week) The guitar is in excellent condition for it's age. There is only a faint fretwear, on the first 5-6 frets, and the frets are replaced at a certain point, The finish shows a fair amount of scratches on the back but is all in all quite nice for it's age. The guitar is well set up with a low action, and has that typical late 70s tone we all know so well from for instant the Edge and David Gilmour, The radius is 7.25" and the neck profile is medium C. It weighs in at 3.95kg what maybe considered medium for a late seventies strat. Included is a aftermarket case, if you prefer a aftermarket tweed case, you can change to that.
