Imagine you have just stepped out of a time machine which took you back to 1964. If you walked into your local Fender dealer having paid the premium to get yourself a new, shiney black Fender Stratocaster this is as close as you are going to get to what would greet you.

This is a Museum Grade 100% original 1963 spec early 1964 Custom Colour BLACK Fender Stratocaster with original case and tags It is an all original custom colour finish in near MINT condition and probably the finest factory black pre-CBS Strat out there..

A largely uncirculated guitar, owned by a respected UK collector for the last 10 years and stored it in a climate controlled fine art vault, before that by another private UK collector for many many years, we are privileged to be able to now offer it for sale here to the public for the first time in a very long while..

Guitar has been checked and black lighted, all finish is totally original and there is no evidence of overspray or repairs. It is near MINT condition and without any doubt at all, I can say it is 100% original in every way. Have a look at the hardware and the mint green guard… how often do you see a guard as clean as that and hardware as new with no corrosion!

All the pots are dated late 1963, serial number is 1963, neck date is JAN 1964 and all pickups are dated March 1964. Every single solder joint (including the jack socket) is intact and un-disturbed, all hardware matches and to be honest, this, as well as our Olympic White Gold 64 Strat, is one of the finest guitars we have ever had here!

This is a ZERO issues, investment grade guitar which has a MINT condition, not only crack free but also scratch free, green guard, even the case is near mint - even the screws and all the hardware is mint! Included is original trem arm, ashtray cover plus manual, strap, lead, cloth and some case candy. This is one pretty cool guitar I can assure you of that. There are just a couple of very minor marks or dings (all are pictured) that prevent me from describing it as totally mint and as new which is what most people would say it is - have a look and see for yourself.

Frets are in as new condition with no wear at all and guitar is a real joy to play with a fast neck that has nice C shape medium round profile Weight is a pleasant 3.4Kg
