This is a pretty special find and one of the rarest and most desirable late 60’s Strats around… This is a STUNNING original vintage 1968 Custom Colour Olympic White Fender Stratocaster with MAPLE CAP neck and OHSC It is an original custom colour finish in very good condition and is a VERY rare desirable beast, being a full 1968 Hendrix Woodstock spec Strat complete with the factory option of a maple cap neck, just like Jimi Hendrix had.

Whats more, it’s serial number of 228675 is nicely sandwiched between Hendrix’s favourite maple cap Strats - his black one being 222625 and his Woodstock one being 240981..

How often do you first of all, see ANY maple cap 60’s Strats out there and then secondly, an original Olympic White one that has NOT been put together out of period parts. All solder joints are intact and this guitar has lived all of it’s 48 year life as one body attached to it's original maple cap neck and original electrics!

The only issues are it has been re-fretted with large frets, it once had an extra string tree hole that has been plugged and it once has mini Schallers on which means you can just nearly see 2x small screw holes at each end of the tuner row. Hence the bargain price..

Guitar has been checked and black lighted, all finish is totally original apart from the fingerboard where it has been re fretted (old overspray). It is in very nice original, played condition and has just a great feel to it which the Custom Shop does not even get close to replicating..

Please see the many pictures taken from all angles to fully appreciate the cool condition this very rare guitar is in.

All the pots are dated 1966, neck is OCT 68, serial number is 228675 and most importantly all solder joints are original and untouched. Included is the original trem arm, ashtray cover and a polishing cloth that may or may not be original but has been with this guitar for some time and has been used.
This is an investment grade, full Hendrix spec guitar which you just never see - have a look, go and do a search and you will soon find out that these just never come up for sale that often and especially ones that are not clobbered together out of period correct parts!

Frets are in excellent condition with little wear and guitar is nice to play with a SUPERB BIG neck (for a Strat) that has nice C shape profile Weight is a pleasant 3.6Kg

VERY RARE to see a custom colour Olympic White MAPLE CAP Strat in this cool condition It just doesn’t happen! A real investment piece that you can also take out and play.

Finally, this Star Spangled Strat ain’t no Banger, it is without a doubt, one Foxy Lady that oozes Voodoo from the Haze of her Little Wings. The question is of course…
Are You Experienced..?
