Fender / Stratocaster XII, MIJ / 1994 / Sunburst / Guitar For Sale
If memory serves me correctly, Richie Sambora played a 12-string Strat during his run with Bon Jovi. It's a quality guitar for the cheap and sounds all sparkly and jangly and chimey and stuff like that. You can get your "Wanted: Dead or Alive" on all day because of how sweet and easy this guitar plays. This was one of those last-minute deals Lee did on Sunday afternoon at the recent Orlando guitar show when he doesn't want to help me pack up the booth, but that's not so much a complaint. We got the gear packed anyway and this cool little Strat got put in the van and squirreled down to the Florida Elk office.
After cleaning and getting this blue baby strung up, the dark side of me came out and I ran it through an old TS-9 just to hear what would happen. Folks, I'm not sure I've ever heard anything so satanic in my life, or as my brother once described his first wife, "She's a maniacal freight train of horror that bulldozes all living things in her path." From a lovely chime to the dark tones of the underworld- I'd call that quite a stretch. Wouldn't you?
It's cleaned, strung with fresh strings and will arrive set- up and ready to go. There is some pickswirling on the pickguard and a few surface scratches on the body, but they are oh-so-light. You have to love the quality of these '90s Japanese Fenders and they're a super value for the money.
