This is a wonderful recent Master Built Relic P-Bass made by one of the Custom Shop's best, Mr. Jason Smith, son of Dan Smith, whom ran the custom shop fr many years. She is what I call a "Resto Mod" Relic created by Jason for the NAMM Show in 2018 in an incredible see-thru "Surf Green" Laquer finish over a super grainey & featherweight "Roasted" Ash Body. It has an unusual "Walnut" fingerboard over a delicious "Roasted" Maple Neck that has a slim Jazz Bass nut width & a 9.5 radius. Its got the coolest White mutha-o-toilet pickgard sporting a "Josephina" '62 spec wrapped white covered pickup. To complete the whole look, Jason made a chrome control cavity plate housing special pots w/a push-button boost on top of the volume pot turning this into a man-eating funkmeister Stingray bass when needed. Last of the resto-mod parts include a set of Hipshot Tuners & a factory made Bad Ass bridge. She hits the scale at a mere 7 lbs. 11 oz...yep ! Recently sold new for $6800. at CME. She’s in as-new shape & comes w/her original Black COA folder dated 12/07/17 w/some case candy in her Tweed hard case.
