Fender / Telecaster / 1952 / Blonde / Guitar

This is without a doubt one of the best guitars we have had here and is something quite special… How often do you come across a 100% original 1952 Fender Telecaster with Original thermometer case completely unmolested which has had just the single family owner..?
Considered by many to be the ultimate year of the Telecaster, this very early 1952 must have been amongst some of the first made in it’s first official year of production. It has a Tadeo Gomez body date of January 1952 and has Nocaster type features such as slotted truss rod adjuster, hard edge frets and no neck date.

What’s more, it is in extremely fine original condition and also included is the original strap, ashtray cover, pick and some very old chord charts. This particular guitar is also something of a TV celebrity and if you do a YouTube search for ‘Pawn Stars 1952 Telecaster’ you will find the video of this very same guitar featured on the History Channel programme where the grandson of the original owner sells it to Pawn Stars for a pretty knock down price! Well, a couple of dealers later it is now over here and in our hands, ready to be sold after 64 years, to it’s second end user! Cowtown Guitars in Las Vegas who did the appraisal for television and subsequently bought the guitar from Pawn Stars have provided a letter of authenticity which is included with this sale.
Guitar is 100% original including every single screw and the frets. It has undisturbed solder joints, all original finish and hardware. Aside from some fingerboard wear, it is in quite excellent condition too. Neck profile is slightly chunky but comfortable 52 profile and weight is a lovely 3.3Kg.

I will let the pictures do the talking here, what you are buying is not just a Telecaster but a true piece of history that has been preserved in incredible condition and very rare to see these days. This is also a true investment piece both in terms of rarity, condition and provenance and in future years will do you very well indeed…!

Yes, it’s expensive for a Tele but if you want the best, or in this case THE ULTIMATE it will always cost more, but in the longer run it has been proven time again that it is worth paying that little bit more for the best.
