Fender / Telecaster / 1967 / Blonde / Guitar
Very close to MINT condition, this all original 1967, transitional Telecaster gleams from every angle you would care to admire it and even has the original booklet with it which yes, does have this guitars serial number so you can rest assured this one came with this guitar and was not one bought separately on other sites!
Totally unfaded blonde finish with a beautiful and unmarked maple cap neck make this a joy for all the senses. There is something about a transitional maple cap neck that goes perfectly well with the gold transitional logo and this period of Telecasters are firm store favourites here. Rare to see these maple caps with complete absence of fingerboard wear too - this one being an exceptional example of this.
Condition wise there are just a few dings around the edges, mainly on the lower edge, a slight one on the front but overall, it is one of the cleanest we have had. Even the hardware is exceptionally clean with little corrosion and the case also is in very fine condition. Included is all the candy you see pictured which does include the original bridge cover.
This guitar is 100% original or correct with not a single solder joint being disturbed. Original frets are in excellent shape with just a slight amount of wear in the first locations but nothing extreme at all and it is a long way off from needing a refret.
Playability is very nice, it is set up with a good, low action with no issues and has a good neck that is straight and needs no adjustment. Finish is also all original and there are no touch ups, no overspray or anything like that going on with this beautiful guitar.
We do not see many in this condition and these have become very popular in recent times and prices have been rising steadily. This is a stunning example and if you seek a transitional Tele, we doubt if you will find a finer one…
