Here is a nice, perfectly used, Fender Telecaster dating from 1968 with the desirable maple cap neck and all original blonde body. It also has it's correct Original Hard Shell Case (OHSC)

What's nice is you will not encounter any string choking on this one, it has had a recent refret and a superb Plek setup so if you do fancy playing this one(!?) unlike some late 60's Tele's, this will not disappoint...

Aside from the refret, the only other items to mention are it has at some stage had different tuners on, probably mini Schallers as you can just see 2x small screw holes at either end of the original tuner run, the posts however were not enlarged. It has also been rewired to the more current Tele config whereby the neck pickup actually becomes useful rather than a muddy woof paddle like you get with the original 60's wiring. This is a common thing to see and can easily be reversed if your mad enough to want it how it was.

All original finish on and neck and body, body has the most amazing checking that no expert relicer that I know can possibly replicate. It has that vibe about it that only a nicely played and loved vintage guitar has.

All hardware original and correct, both pots date to 1966, the switch is that weird one you only see in 1968 and it is cloth wiring, probably one of the last of the cloth wired Teles. Serial number puts it as late '68 and you can just make out a 1968 neck date but I cannot see the month as it has rubbed off.

Weight is a pleasant 3.6Kg and neck is comfortable medium C shape.

An honest guitar with just the perfect amount of wear. That's what I think..!
