Fender / Telecaster / 1968 / Blue Flower / Guitar
Here's a groovy throwback to the heady days of Flower Power and all that was cool about those long summers of love...
This is an all original first year, 1968 Fender Telecaster finished in original blue flower with a lovely, chunky maple cap neck. In case you were not aware, this when launched, was the brother of the Paisley pink Tele but I think this model is slightly harder to come by.
As with most of these original, floral Teles the finish is not in the greatest of condition. I gave it to the luthier I use who managed to do a damm fine job of stabilising the original finish and provided slight touch ups in places. However, I have seen a LOT worse than this for a lot more money too!
Stunning chunky maple cap neck is a joy to behold and a joy to play with a super fast action. Both pickups are original and strong and all the hardware is original and in great condition too. There are some touched up solder joints but a lot of them are undisturbed. Pickguard is also largely intact with just a small crack by one of the top screws.
Real nice lightweight at 3.3Kg does actually make this a cool, groovy guitar to chill with and I bet some people, somewhere may even have the matching shirt that goes with this :-)
