Eind jaren zeventig was de Telecaster vooral populair in de Deluxe of Custom uitvoering met één of twee humbuckers maar ook de standaardversie werd nog gemaakt. Ten opzichte van de vroegere jaren '50 en '60 uitvoeringen hebben deze
gitaren wat afgerondere contouren, zwarte slagplaten en een essenhouten body.
Deze Telecaster uit laat 1977 is een comfortabele gitaar met een mooi doorleefd karakter zonder dat hij al te afgeragd is. De polyester laklaag is opvallend dun en afgezien van een paar plekken in de burst van de halsbevestiging waar deze iets is afgeschilferd nog in goede staat en helder van kleur. De neck pickup klinkt zeer
vol terwijl de brugpickup een mooi transparant, bijna akoestisch-gitaarachtig karakter heeft. De frets zijn ook nog in prima conditie waardoor deze gitaar uitstekend bespeelbaar is. In tegenstelling tot veel van zijn leeftijdsgenoten is dit geen zware gitaar.
Afgezien van een vervangen 3-standen switch (de originele was niet meer te redden maar wordt wel meegeleverd) is deze gitaar volledig origineel. Het serienummer is terug te vinden op een sticker onder de slagplaat. De potmeters en halsstempel duidden op productie aan het einde van 1977.

- Hals stempel: 1303-4472 (tele-mapleneck-wk44-1977-dinsdag)
- Inclusief oude (niet originele) rechthoekige hardcase
- Afgezien van vervangen pickup switch (originele is bewaard) volledig origineel
- Afgesteld met D'Addario EXL-110 .010-.046
