1972 Fender Telecaster Custom, sunburst. Made in USA, serial number 396863. This guitar is 100% original except for a recent professional refret (fretboard refinish) and a replaced switch (original in case). With the refret and the pickups being wax potted, this rare Tele is ready to be played! The bridge pickup code dates it to 1972, both pots are from 1966 (original to the guitar). It comes with a no-logo export rectangular black tolex hardshell case (blue velvet interior). The neck date code is very faint, but we believe it to read Oct '72 - with two factory installed string trees, this must be one of the very last Telecaster Customs with double binding that left the factory before they switched to the new style with the wide-range humbucker and no binding. Weighs a hair over 3.25kg only!
