An original Telecaster master still going strong, James Burton influenced generations of rock guitar royalty with his perfectly phrased late-’50s/early-’60s Tele® work with Ricky Nelson, and his later stints with Elvis Presley, Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello and many others only furthered his revered elder-statesman status. The James Burton was the first signature Telecaster model with three pickups, special switching, gold hardware, gorgeous paisley-flame finishes and more. This 16 year old Tele is finished in a bold Blue Paisley flame finish. It features 3 Specially Designed James Burton Tele pickups, it has been hot-rodded from Fender with 5-way switching, along with an S1 switch allowing you to run positions 2 and 4 in either series or parallel – giving you loads of tele tones, from either bright and bold to warm and full. This has some playtime & 1 spot of finish flaking by the left front arm area but still is in quite excellent condition, it has 1 hang tag and includes what appears to be its original “Tooled” leather/vinyl hard case.
