Fender / The Strat / 1980 / Lake Placid Blue / Guitar

This is a very rare & unusual “The Strat” model in exceptional shape. These were available from 1980-1983 as a flamboyant alternative to its stock model Strat in 3 color choices, Olympic White, Candy Apple Red & Lake Placid Blue. This has the desirable Lake Placid Blue finish w/a matching Headstock that’s simply stunning & hard to believe its still w/out wear or the normal green fade these got over the last 41 years. It has an unusual Rosewood neck that feels great. Its 3 stock pickups simply kick ass loaded in its super clean laminated White pickgard. It has a mix of mostly Gold hardware w/the exception of its Chrome Tuners & Tremolo Arm. Its got a stock massive brass bridge & 3 matching metal volume & tone knobs to finish off its fancy appearance. The photos appear like its faded, but its only the light reflecting as this is the cleanest example we have seen since they were hanging up new. She weighs in at 10 lbs. She’s truly near mint overall & comes in its original molded hard case.
