Fender / Tremolux Amp / 1959 / Tweed Covering / Amp For Sale

This is an original 1957 Fender Tweed Tremolux amp 5E9A w/a later reissue Jensen speaker. The rare larger cabinet’s tweed covering is completely removed down to the wood. Its grill cloth is decent. Its factory label is dated “IF” from June 1959. The initial 5E9 circuit is essentially a 5E3 Deluxe with the added on-board effect and a taller cabinet. With its replaced speaker, she’s just a bit louder than the standard Deluxe, The Tremolux is the perfect amp for those gigs when the smaller tweeds just don’t quite have the power to cut it. The larger box also gives a bit more breadth, letting the bass-response develop more, avoiding the boomy flub sometimes associated with the smaller Deluxe cabinets. The tremolo is lush and deep and has an impressively wide range due to the trem circuit. Its good overall & a great user friendly amp still retaining its original 2 prong cord. Perfect for a tweed restoration or as-is for your next gig.
