G&L USA / F 100 Series 1 / 1980 / Black / Guitar
1980 G&L F100 Series 1 - Black incl. orig. black tolex case.
Nice 1980 G&L F100 Series 1 - Black, all original and in very good condition for its age. After selling the Musicman company to Ernie Ball, Leo Fender, together with his partner George Fullerton, founded G&L Music Sales, Inc., named for George and Leo. The F100 was their first guitar model introduced in 1980. The design is similar to his earlier Stratocaster models and it featured two new designed Magnetic Field Design humbucking pickups with two rows of adjustable hexagon-shaped polepieces and ceramic magnets which could be controlled by a 3-way pickup selector switch, one volume and two tone control and phase-reverse switch. The bridge is fixed, the guitar weighs in at aprox. 3,76Kg and is definately one of the lightest we´ve seen from that aera! The original frets are still in great shape, low action and the medium size C-shape neck with its 7,25" fingerboard radius is super comfortable to play. A real Leo Fender design, a collectible guitar which is still afordable! Incl. orig. black Tolex case w/maroon lining, waranty card and owners-registration.
