2000 Gibson SG Standard with a lightweight body that is easy to hold and high performance up to the high position.
In 1961, the specifications were changed from the single-cutaway Les Paul models of the past, and the Les Paul model became a one-piece body of mahogany with a deep, pointed double cutaway and thin mahogany. The model is renamed itself SG (short for solid guitar). The single-cutaway Les Paul was later revived, but the SG remained a long-selling guitar that is still on the market today. It is one of the masterpieces produced by Gibson, which has captivated numerous musicians, including 'Pete Townsend', 'Angus Young', 'Tony Iommi', 'George Harrison' and 'Eric Clapton' among its loyal users. This SG Standard features a large pickguard, covered humbuckers, a neck with cell-ban indings and block position marks. The sound is tight and edgy with thin mahogany and good punch. The high position is fully exposed, making it easy to play up to the high position, and the lightweight body is easy to hold, making this model very popular with petite players and women. The guitar is also easy to play, even though I usually play a strat," says one customer.
