A Gibson 335 S Firebrand from 1980.
Firebrand was a short lived Gibson line from the early 80’s and this guitar was only made between 80-82 and the name Firebrand came from the fact that they branded the Gibson logo on the headstock like you would do with cattle.
The guitar is a sleeker solid body version of the famous ES 335 model. The whole guitar is solid maple and is surprisingly light and resonant. The electrical layout is the same as on the hollow-version: 2x Volume and two Tone-controls and a 3-way switch for selecting the "Pat.Nr.-stamped"-humbuckers with zebra-coils. Sometimes referred to as Shawbuckers after Tim Shaw.
