Gibson / B25 Natural W/ Pickup / 1966 / Guitar

The B-25N is the follow up on the LG-3 model, which was introduced in 1942 alongside the LG-1 and -2. These guitars were shortlived, but were revived in 1958. These guitars are essentially student models, because of the smaller body. Unrightfully so, because the LG-2 and LG-3 were actually really good guitars and feature X-bracing instead of the LG-1's ladder bracing, which improves the tone by miles. The B-25N (for natural) is essentially a LG-3 but with cherry finished back and sides and a rosewood bridge with adjustable saddle.  This B-25N has been made in 1966 in is in good condition. The top features two repaired cracks. The top features overspray and the back, sides and the neck (until the headstock) are refinished. The neck has been reset and had a refret. The headstock has been broken, and has been secured by metal pins and glue, and there is a coin on the back of the headstock. There is playwear across the top with wear on the treble side of the sound hole. The back and sides have traces of use, but nothing major. This really is a true players guitar that has seen a lot since its incarnation, but plays wonderfully. It does have quite a small neck, which has a deeper C-shape, that feels comfortable, but its mostly for the players with smaller hands. The tone is wonderful, with astonishing bass frequencies, broad mids and distinctive trebles. ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
