Gibson / B25 Sunburst / 1967 / Guitar

Gibson introduced the B25 in 1962 as the successor to the popular LG2. Like its predecessor, the guitar was equipped with a compact body with a flat top, and was also very easy and comfortable to play due to its short scale. The guitar was marketed in the lower segment, as a student guitar or middle class guitar, and had a relatively narrow neck. The B25 was produced until 1977, when Gibson stopped production. When you play this B25 from 1967 you will immediately see that it has aged in typical Gibson style. The lacquer is beautifully crackled, and the playwear shows that this guitar was loved by many players. The sound of the B25 is ideal for fingerstyle or subtle pick playing with nice separation between the notes played. The spruce top is accompanied by a laminated mahogany back and sides, with the cream-colored binding and thick tortoise pickguard providing the modest and understated decoration. While many vintage Gibsons ensure that the average guitar enthusiast has to live on bread and water for several months, this B25 is certainly reasonably priced. The guitar is a very accessible option for the guitarist who wants to give his collection something extra, without having to wait decades for modern guitars to reach vintage status. In addition to the aforementioned crackle and playwear, this B25 has also undergone some superficial paint repairs, and the bridge saddle has been replaced with a new one. The guitar is also equipped with a pickup so that it can also be played amplified. With its beautiful sound and clean intonation, this B25 is ready for many years of playing fun! The guitar is supplied with TFOA passport in a vintage case, which also includes the original bridge saddle. Played by Milo Groenhuijzen | Demo Gear: Ear Trumpet Labs Evelyn Stereo Microphone

ABOUT US

I have always been opposed to being trapped into a job eight hours a day to purchase the free time to do what I enjoy. That’s why i started the Fellowship of Acoustics. The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood. The idea was offering real expertise when trading and selling the finest instruments in the world from our showroom in Bergentheim, Netherlands. Helping others find the right tools and enjoying an atmosphere that’s unhurried, honest and informative that’s my go. We are nothing like the "supermarket" style music stores, but specialize in string-things only. We are widely known for Flattop guitars but also sell electric, mandolins & banjo’s, amps, parts, and accessories. Our store has earned the reputation for being a great place to shop for the best products and service.
It is our hope that this new website - much more than a list of "gear" for sale - will serve as an example of our commitment to offering a more personal approach, a friendly atmosphere, and an ultimately more satisfying experience for our friends and customers.
If you have any questions just dial +31-523-232205 or e-mail info@thefellowshipofacoustics.com My name is Rudi Bults, and I’m always here to help out. Wherever possible, we would recommend that you visit our store and experience our instruments and service first hand. However, because of our high standards you can be confident of ordering online from us. We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, and welcome your feedback.
