We loaned it for a while to Trini Lopez being on Tour in Europe, but now it's back: 1968 Gibson Barney Kessel Custom with original hard case in superb condition! A guitar that is nowadays finding a fast growing group of professional players and collectors realizing this rare guitar set a standard with a tone, quality and enhanced playablility that is unmatched.
It features a It features a cherry sunburst finish, double Florentine cutaway, beautiful quilt flame maple top and equally beautiful matching quilt flame back and sides, measures 17" lower bout, bound f-holes, 3-piece flame maple neck, the neck joins the body at the 17th fret making it very versatile and easy to play, 20 fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl 'bowtie' inlays, original rosewood bridge base with ABR1 tune-o-matic bridge with nylon saddles, trapeze tailpiece with raised diamond and rosewood insert and "BARNEY KESSEL" plaque, 2 Patent number humbucking pickups, 3-way toggle switch, 2 volume and 2 tone controls with metal pointers, Grover patent pending gold Rotomatic tuners, all hardware shows some but modest wear, ebony bound peghead with pearl scroll musical note inlay and "Gibson" logo, 645mm (25.4") scale, 40mm(1-9/16") width at the nut, a very fine and excellent -no issues- example of this rare Barney Kessel Custom. Also a mighty cool and highly pratical arcthop/hollowbody, with only 76mm(3") depth at the max. no issues and all original. With original case..

The fellowship of acoustics was founded by Rudi Bults, Guitarist and obsessed with tone and wood.
