Gibson / Brazilian (2 Of 2) Les Paul 1958 Historic Reissue / 2003 / Washed Cherry / Guitar
We're very proud to present a very collectable Historic Les Paul: a 2003 R8. Absolutely spectacular guitar!
The sound of this beauty is, as you may imagine, exceptional: a lot of bite, great sustain... a true tone monster, not only a showcase guitar. It has a nice chunky '58 neck, and the weight is 9 lbs 2.56 oz (4155 gr).
The top, as you can see in the pictures, is a very elegant flatsawn plaintop. Lots of nice wood "rings" all over. The Washed Cherry finish is very subtle near the sides and lower edges, and more pronounced near the neck. Capturing this in pictures has been very hard, so we've shown the guitar in different light situations to see the differences.
The guitar is in truly excellent condition. It seems to have been played slightly nearly a decade ago, and then safely kept in a case for many years. There is very light worming in the back, near the pots cover (you have to tilt the guitar under a light in order to actually see it), and it has a small chip near the lower strap button, but it is towards the back of the guitar and not easy to spot (see pictures).
Apart from this, the guitar looks practically new. Electronics are original (pickups were once replaced but original Burstbuckers are back on).
Includes OHSC, all accessories, case candy, checklist and COA.
A true collector's piece, no doubt... and it sounds as good as it looks.

Guitar Giraffe, Spain
In the last few years, online sale for musical instruments has experienced an amazing growth, but has passed right through the pre-owned market (that is, in Spain), limiting it to specialised forums and private owners. This is why Guitar Giraffe was born, the first physical and online second hand guitar and amp store (we like to call it "pre-owned", since we see a big difference between both terms), with a clear commitment of giving new options to guitarists locally and worldwide. Pre-owned guitar stores, so common in UK and USA, were practically nonexistent in Spain. We’ve wanted to fill that empty space by becoming the first physical and online store in our country focused on pre-owned guitars and amps.
