Gibson / Les Paul R9 Brazilian 2003 / 2003 / Faded Cherry Sunburst / Guitar
I started buying and selling vintage guitars in the mid to late 1970s and over the years was lucky enough to own a few original 1959 Bursts and several 50s conversions w/ PAFs and hand builds that were all intended to sound like just that .. a burst!! When you ask owners or builders what sets apart the originals several items will come up like Hide glue, or old growth Honduran mahogany BUT another very serious consideration and always mentioned is the Brazilian Rosewood finger board. Though maybe what we think of as nuance ... it is those nuances that are 1st to come up. Just like an old Martin vs a newer one ... it can be heard quite notably when Brazilian is used.
In 2003 Gibson released a series of R9s with Brazilian Rosewood fingerboards and here you have not only one of them but please ..... LOOK AT THAT TOP!!! Mindnumbingly 3 D! I don't think i have seen many as nice. Unusual match but a match nonetheless if you look between the ABR-1 and the stop ... or just under the bass pick up you see where the grain does indeed come right together and in person it makes total sense and is just a gorgeous transition. Pics of this guitar as beautiful as it is do NOT do it justice, One of the nicest Les Pauls i have ever played. It comes with COA and ALL of the case candy including the tags that show it to be Brazilian board (since not all 03s were).
This guitar is STUNNING and a nice weight of 8 lbs 14-15 oz's and aside from being amazing is just sooooo pretty. Some minot light natural wear. Original hard shell case.

When you receive the guitar your 24 hour return includes 1 day to receive it and approve or not and you must contact me. I do strictly adhere to these rules. I don't mean to sound tough here but you would be amazed at the liberties taken in recent past! Thanks for your understanding and adherence. ALL Outside the USA sales are final due to extended "visits" through customs and some countries laxed attitude about shipping on time.
