The Gibson Chet Atkins was a revolutionary design that combined the best of Gibson's acoustic and electric guitar technology, a solid body acoustic-electric designed by the late legendary country artist Chet Atkins. The celebrity series was a limited edition of only 200, made in or around 1990, it features a solid spruce top and a solid carved mahogany body, set mahogany neck, solid peghead, 21-fret ebony fingerboard with 14 frets clear to the body, side dot markers, 42.9mm (1 11/16") width at the nut, 645mm(25.4") scale length, dark rosewood bridge, active bridge pickup, one volume control, one tone control, top binding with multicolor purling, gold tuners with gold buttons, "Celebrity Edition" edition on back of headstock, The Guitar is Excellent+ to almost Near mint condition and except for minimal crazing to the finish and minimal mostly angelhair wear to frets, back and pickguard. The guitar quickly became popular among rock and country players because high volume levels could be reached without any feedback. This ability made and still makes the steel string the perfect acoustic guitar for live music. A very rare guitar, in surprising condition, and with original brown hardcase. and with original brown hardcase.
