A full -fledged reissue model by Gibson Custom Shop
Gibson Custom SHOP / 1966 J-50 ADJ
A pinpoint reissue model called J-50 in 1966 is available. It is a model made by a custom shop in 2018 and is hardly distributed.
Among the Gibson acoustics, regular models are created after having a certain range, such as 1950S and 1960s, but this is a very drastic concept of focusing on the 1966 J-50. is.
Just bearing the name, 14 degrees head angles, 40mm nut width narrow neck, jumbo fret, large pickguard measured from J-45 in the late 1960s, it is rare in recent Gibson. It seems to be particular about the details.
And it's amazing that it doesn't end with the same copy.
The top material Citoka Spruce has a thermaly aged, a thermal aged, a thermal treatment in pursuit of vintage sounds, and the adjustable saddle has a black task.
In this way, arrangements that make use of modern technology are added, and it has a very easy -to -handle sound characteristics while retaining vintage essence.
The condition of the neck and Kibe is inspected and adjusted by an acoustic guitar professional, and all parts are good.
In addition, the neck is adjusted straight and has no vibration or clogged sound, and the string height on the 12th fret is set to the optimal state of 2.5 mm on the 6th string side and 2.0 mm on the first string side.
I often hear that the soaring vintage market has not been able to use my favorite machine very much. It may be a good sub -machine for such a person.
We will share the impression of this reissue model after comparing the 1966 J-50 in our shop.
Gibson Custom SHOP 2018 1966 J-50 ADJ
neck
I felt that the grip of the neck of the low position was very close.
This model increased to the high fret, so it felt like it was unprecedented.
fret
A wide fret with a wide width close to the original is hit.
Adjustable saddle
The original is ceramic, but this model uses tasks. Because of that, it is a slightly mellow tone with a little corner, but the crispness of the rising rises can be felt firmly.
Bracing pattern
The original is non -carop, but this model adopts scalloped X bracing.
For this reason, it is a specification in the 60th year, but the sound tendency is plump and a sense of sustain. Indeed, this structure was the cornerstone of modern Gibson!?
In any case, it is an individual that can enjoy the high -quality sound filled with the soul of Gibson craftsmen. I want you to try it.
