The Gibson EB-3 Bass was invented in 1961 & made famous by Jack Bruce. This example is the last of the best EB-3’s from 1969 prior to changing its neck design & pickup placements of the early 70’s. Its beautifully faded see-thru Red finish is what this is all about. Its 1 piece mahogany body & thin neck feel delicious. Its black & white laminated pickgard w/its original thumb rest show very well. Its 2 powerful pickups along w/its vari-tone rotary switch make tons of different sounds. She has her original pots dated to the 2nd week of 1969 sporting a set of witch hat knobs. Its chrome hardware is unfaded. It’s still sporting its original open back tuners. This is a great Bass for that guy that wants to enjoy it for the next few decades ! Other then a few extra strap button holes on the back side of its body, she’s 100% original & comes in its original Black/Purple lined hard case.
