1959 Gibson EMS-1235 Doubleneck - Sunburst All original and very rare 1959 Gibson EMS-1235 Doubleneck guitar in excllent condition. Doublenecks where built to custom order only and just 13(!) of this model left the factory in 1959. Solid 13mm sprucetop and hollowbody construction. The long neck has a scale length of 625mm, the short neck is a 6 string octave guitar, tuned 1 octave higher and has a scale length of 352mm. All 3 pickups are unopened PAF´s with the original "Pattent applied for" - sticker on the back! Considerable lightweight with only 4,2 Kg, this monster is pretty comfortable to play! Comes in its orig. brown Gibson case. Techn. details: Maple hollow body with double - cutaway, Carved, solid spruce top, Upper neck: 1-piece mahagony (625mm), Lower neck: 1-piece mahagony (352mm), 2x rosewood fretboard with 22/34 frets, 3x original PAF humbucking pickups, 2x Vol + 2xTone, 2x 3-way toggleswitch, 1x Gibson Tune-O-Matic ABR-1 bridge (Lower neck), 1x Metal bar-bridge on rosewood base (Upper neck), 2x non-adjustable bar tailpieces, 18x Kluson - Single-line tuners, Nickel-plated hardware, Incl. original brown Gibson case.
