This is a really cool & ultra rare 1st year “PAF” equipped ES-175 w/a gorgeous rich Dark Sunburst finish over a maple top & back w/walnut stained side panels. Its cool full sized 1 piece mahogany neck w/its 1 11/16″ nut width feels fabulous. Its got a white bound Rosewood fingerboard has double parallelogram inlays. You get a killer variety of jazz tones thru its 1 original PAF pickup (having no PAF sticker only in 1957) like Jim Hall & Joe Pass. She is still sporting her original single-line Kluson Deluxe tuners & Gold knobs, but its original black pickgard. All of its nickel hardware is clean from its wooden bridge to its cool zig-zag trapeze tailpiece. Its got part of its orange oval label intact w/a bit missing, this is the very earliest of the 1st single PAF spec 175’s w/a fabulous patina. She’s ink stamped w/a “U” date code for 1957. She’s got killer sustain & tone qualities. Other than some slight finish crazing & fade all over, she’s excellent overall & a 100% original example, she comes w/an original Brown Tolex hard case.
